Diocesan Secondary Schools Public Speaking Competition 2019

Around 70 students from Year 10 to 11 from secondary schools across the Diocese attended this year’s Diocesan Secondary Schools Public Speaking Competition.

The day was attended by students from St Joseph’s High School, AberdeenSt Pius X High School, AdamstownSt Paul’s Catholic College, Booragul; St Bede’s Catholic College, ChisolmSt Mary’s Catholic College, Gateshead; St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar; San Clemente High School, Mayfield; St Catherine’s Catholic College, Singleton; St Francis Xavier’s College, Hamilton; All Saints’ College, Maitland and St Clare’s High School, Taree.

Students were required to deliver both impromptu and prepared speeches, with students given five minutes to prepare their impromptu speeches.
