The theme for this year’s Adopt-a-School program is Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well. The theme allows schools to easily tailor subject matter from their curriculum to fit the program and provides plenty of opportunities for the ‘adopted’ Knight to deliver their presentations and run activities, either in the classroom, at school events, sporting clinics, presentations or during school assemblies.

Each school that is a part of the program receives a visit from their allocated player each term.

One such school is St Columban’s Primary School, Mayfield where students will be mentored throughout the year by Tim Glasby.

As well as a talented rugby league player, Tim is also a qualified Teacher Learning Assistant, who will be mentoring students in and outside the classroom and standing as a positive role model for the school.

“The students were very excited to meet Tim and had lots of questions for him,” said Danielle Reed, Principal of St Columban’s.

“We are looking forward to more visits from Tim throughout the year.”
