St Francis Xavier’s celebrate Christmas

St Francis Xavier’s Primary School, Belmont had a lovely evening last Monday night celebrating Christmas as a community.

Students presented the story of Jesus’s birth in an entertaining yet touching manner.

All classes were involved in the play, each singing a Christmas song with spectacular choreography. The storyline was woven together by a series of news stories with reporters onsite for the special moments as they were happening.

Earlier in the year, each class participated in workshops with Anna Kerrigan to assist them in developing their drama skills. As the year progressed, Assistant Principal Mr Walker worked with a team of teachers to develop the SFX 2019 Christmas Production.

Each class had specific roles in the play and were prepared by our dedicated and talented staff. Throughout the performance, there was plenty of acting, singing and dancing and of course, opportunity for crowd participation.

An event like this showcases every child and is an opportunity for talents to be highlighted and in some cases discovered. It really was a wonderful community gathering and always well received by our supportive parents and friends.

The night finished with some Christmas carols under the COLA led by talented musician and special friend of St Francis Xavier’s, John Collins.

Special thanks to all involved for making our Christmas celebration such a success!
