Diocesan Secondary Basketball Championships 2019

Talented basketball players from across the Diocese showcased their skills at the 2019 Diocesan Secondary Basketball Championships.

Held at Broadmeadow Basketball Stadium, it proved to be a very competitive day in all divisions.

In the junior boys division, the team from All Saints’ College, St Peter’s Campus, Maitland, proved to be too strong for St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar, winning 20 – 16.

The team from All Saints’ College also took out the junior girl’s division, narrowly beating St Pius X High School, Adamstown, 29 – 28.

In the intermediate boys division, St Pius X proved victorious over St Clare’s High School, Taree, winning 45 – 21.

St Pius X were also the winners in the intermediate girl’s division, defeating All Saints’ College, 47 – 16.

The winners from each division will represent the Diocese at the NSWCCC Championships at Penrith in November.

A big thank you goes to Cheryl Will from St Paul’s Catholic College, Booragul who did a fantastic job convening.
