GALLERY: Peter Lewis draws a crowd at the Assembly of Catholic Professionals luncheon

Award-winning newspaper cartoonist and fine artist, Peter Lewis, spoke to more than 40 people at the first Assembly of Catholic Professionals (ACP) luncheon for 2017, on Thursday 9 March.

Peter addressed the 2017 ACP theme, ‘The Nature of Fear’, including his observations on the growth of ‘infotainment’ and gossip in the Australian press, and the use of fear in pushing political agendas, in Australia and across the globe. Peter also shared some insight into his 30 years as the Newcastle Herald Editorial Cartoonist, and his desire to push the boundaries when creating artworks for the publication.

During his presentation, Peter demonstrated his talent by drawing a caricature of ACP member, Mark Scanlon. View a gallery below.
