St Nicholas Newcastle West celebrates Christmas

St Nicholas Newcastle West families and staff gathered last Tuesday night to celebrate Christmas.

The evening began with a welcome from centre director Toni Warburton and a message from Vice  Chancellor Pastoral Ministries, Teresa Brierley, who presented a book about Christmas from Bishop Bill.

All the children then gathered together to sing an Aboriginal song Inanay Capuana and Jingle Bells.

The children who are leaving St Nick’s for ‘big school’ in 2017 then received a graduation certificate and lots of hugs and high-fives from their much-loved educators.

Families also enjoyed a sausage sizzle, disco and a special visit from Santa over the course of the evening.

It was a lovely occasion with lots of happy faces and was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of St Nick’s first year of operation in Newcastle West.
