Children in the Moane Room have been exploring an interest in cars, garbage trucks and recycling. What began as role play, ‘being the garbage collector’, soon turned into an elaborate learning experience involving many children.
On our first adventure walk last week, Oliver and Caleb noticed rubbish on the ground and told us that we needed to pick it up. Their interest in keeping our environment clean led us to participating on 2 March in the national "Clean Up Australia Day" initiative
All our meals are nutritionally balanced and prepared fresh daily. The St Nicholas menu runs over 8 weeks and offers a balanced mix of red and white meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, based on the ‘Good for Kids, Good for Life’ Healthy Eating Guidelines.
The children in the Moane Room at St Nicholas Newcastle West have been excited to begin a new fundamental movement program. Working in partnership between the diocese and St Nicholas Early Education, we drew upon the expertise of Helene O’Neill.
