Holy Week at St James’ Primary School, Muswellbrook

Follow along in the re-enactment of the Easter story, created by staff and primary students at St James' last week.

Holy Week is an important time during the Lenten season. It marks the final week of the season of Lent and it recounts the final days of Christ’s life, as well as his death, burial and resurrection. At St James’ Primary School, Muswellbrook all students and staff have taken the time and care in preparing Holy Week liturgies to share with the St James’ community.

Kindergarten beautifully shared the Palm Sunday story. Stage 1 celebrated the Last Supper and Washing of the Disciples' Feet. Stage 2 students and staff re-enacted the Garden of Gethsemane and the moments after.

On Thursday Stage 3 students recreated the Crucifixion and Stations of the Cross, which was followed up by the Resurrection today. Check out the images below from across the week.
