Three primary schools across the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle have come together recently to celebrate the blessing of their newest buildings.
On Tuesday 6 December, the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle hosted a Farewell Mass for its Director of Catholic Schools, Gerard Mowbray.

On Monday 28 November, MacKillop Catholic College at Warnervale hosted the 25th New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges (NSWCCC) Blue Awards, which celebrates and recognises the best sporting achievements of Catholic Secondary students throughout NSW. The strong sporting talent from the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese was on show, with six students receiving an award.
Artist Bridie O'Connell, a Year 12 student from St Clare's High School, Taree has been nominated for the 2023 ARTEXPRESS exhibition for her body of work, 'Unfiltered'.
Four runners from St Pius X Primary School, Windale proudly claimed the silver medal in the Nigel Bagley Relay at the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park in Homebush.
