International Women's Day celebrations at St Paul's Catholic College, Booragul

St Paul’s Catholic College, Booragul hosted some distinguished guests during their International Women’s Day celebration last Friday.

It was a packed library at St Paul's Catholic College, Booragul when they celebrated a very special International Women's Day.

Wallaroos halfback and St Paul’s alumni Layne Morgan returned to her old college to inspire young women through her success story.

"Be resilient, be inclusive of your friends playing sports and make sure you stand up, use your voice when you need it and don't lose that female prowess in amongst everything you do," Miss Morgan said.

Donna Burns, CEO of Australian Indigenous Doctors Association (AIDA), was also a guest speaker at the celebrations. Her message to the students was "we shouldn't just be everywhere as women, but we need to be everywhere as women because of what we bring to the table".
