At the 2015 Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Adelaide, Bishop Greg O’Kelly, Bishop of Port Pirie, spoke to the 3500 young people attending and told them of his role as a representative of the Australian Bishops on the Commission for Justice, Ecology and Development which includes Caritas, the Church’s welfare activity throughout the world.

On Friday, 12 February, a range of awards was presented to students in recognition of outstanding academic achievement in 2015 in a variety of areas: Year Six Religious Literacy, Year 10 Religious Literacy, HSC Studies of Religion 1 Unit & 2 Unit and recognition of the highest achievers and HSC Dux.
