Recognising faces

In the Angels Room at St Nicholas, Singleton, we have placed photos of the children engaging in play.

This has sparked a lot of talk amongst the children as they recognise themselves and their peers. So we thought it might be a good time to get out the iPad and explore some of its many functions. Today we used an app called “Funny Face” where the children could scroll through a number of animal faces and capture their own face with an animal insert.

The children were so thrilled to see themselves with a face so we printed them for the children to see and to show Mums and Dads. We talked about the features of their new faces and the animals they had become. There were lots of giggles!
