Disability Support Worker Information Session

Do you enjoy working with people? Have you ever considered working in the disabilities sector? If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions and are seeking a rewarding career working for a quality service provider, then CatholicCare invites you to attend its upcoming Disability Support Worker Information Session.

The Information Session will cover a range of topics including;

  • The importance of providing quality person-centred care and service and how CatholicCare achieves this
  • The need for ‘soft skills’ such as a positive attitude and emotional intelligence, and why they are essential in the disability services sector
  • An overview of CatholicCare – its services and ethos

CatholicCare is seeking passionate people to join our expanding Disability Services’ team. Whilst it is great if applicants have experience working in the disabilities sector, or are currently studying in the field, they is not our only criteria. Some of our most talented workers, who are progressive leaders within our organisation, have come to us with little or no experience in the disabilities sector. What’s most important in our eyes is having people on board with a range of life skills and who are able to provide individualised support for people with a disability.

We are recruiting individuals who actively seek to make a positive difference in the lives of people living with a disability; who display passion for what they do and value working as part of a team. CatholicCare has a range of positions currently available within its Disability Services team including full-time permanent, part-time permanent and casual. Aside from working in a progressive and outcomes-driven organisation CatholicCare also offers its employees a range of other benefits including access to an Employee Assistance Program, discounted gym and private healthcare membership options, salary sacrificing, paid parental leave, ongoing training opportunities and flexible work conditions.

All CatholicCare’s services are underpinned by our three pillars of Unity, Quality and Sustainability. Anyone who has ever considered working in disabilities or at CatholicCare should attend the Information Session.
